Over 60 new charging points for electric cars in the district Neustadt/WN

(…) Qwello, a company based in Frankfurt and Munich that operates 1,500 charging stations across Europe, takes care of everything else: construction, software, service, and maintenance. According to figures from the previous year, each site costs the company around €20,000 to €25,000. It is possible that the cost has since increased somewhat.

How does this pay off for a company? Through a long-term approach. Municipalities that sign with Qwello commit to the provider for ten years.

The municipalities are also getting a good deal, according to District Administrator Andreas Meier: “We are pleased to have found a partner that provides the infrastructure without any additional costs for the municipalities.” In a second phase, the project could be expanded to 93 charging points. These are generally charging stations with two charging points each, delivering 11 or 22 kilowatts of power. (…)
